Academic Pass Setup

  • Create a NYT Academic Pass account by visiting accessnyt.com.
  • Select Georgetown University - Washington D.C.
  • Use your Georgetown email to create a new account, or use an existing nytimes.com account. Your Times password should NOT be your NetID password -- your NYT account is separate from other GU accounts. In creating a New York Times account, you are subject to the terms and conditions set by the New York Times.
  • Set your graduation year, if you are a student. If you are faculty or staff, indicate Faculty/Staff in the account setup process.
  • See "You've claimed your NYTimes Pass"? Your pass is active! Go to nytimes.com and enjoy the newspaper.
