HoyaSearch Tutorial

When you use HoyaSearch, the library recommends that you sign in. Signing in enables you to see all available resources fully, to have access to requesting options, and to manage your favorites.

In HoyaSearch you can easily save records for individual sources or particular searches by adding them to your favorites. From the search results, you can save individual works or entire searches to your favorites:

You can also add an item to your favorites from within a record:

You can also pin multiple records at once by clicking the number to the left of the item's titles and then clicking the pin icon above the search results.

To view your favorites, click the pin icon next to your name in the header.

Favorites include your

• Saved records
• Saved searches
• Search history (only for your current session in HoyaSearch. Your searches will not be retained between sessions unless you choose to save them.)

In the Saved Records section, you can search within your favorites and add customized labels.

For each item saved, you also have the option to copy a permalink, email the record, or unpin the item from your favorites.

In the Saved Searches section, you can click on a previous search to re-run it, and you can also set up notifications so that you receive an email when new materials matching your search have been added to HoyaSearch.
