Having Trouble Signing into ArcGIS Pro?

Known Bug Announcement and Work Around

There is currently a unknown bug with the sign-in on ArcGIS Pro. When using the SSO login users successfully sign in but the application never launches. If you encounter this bug, here is the workaround you'll want to use.

  1. Start ArcGIS Pro and follow the prompts to login.
  2. Rather than clicking on the "Georgetownuniv" organization as Your ArcGIS organization's URL, click the "Sign in Using Browser" option (see the image below). This will open the login screen in your browser.

Esri is aware of the bug and should hopefully be releasing the fixed version to education users soon. But the workaround should allow you to continue using ArcGIS Pro in the meantime.

What is ArcGIS?

ArcGIS is a geographic information system (GIS) for working with maps and geographic information. It is used for: creating and using maps; compiling geographic data; analyzing mapped information; sharing and discovering geographic information; using maps and geographic information in a range of applications; and managing geographic information in a database.

The system provides an infrastructure for making maps and geographic information available throughout an organization, across a community, and openly on the Web.
