This guide provides an overview of the genres, artists and categories of original fine art photographs in the art collection holdings of the Booth Family Center for Special Collections

Background

The art collection has approximately fifty photographic prints made before 1900. Please explore the three sub-tabs under the Nineteenth Century Photographs page. There are also a large number of examples in other units of the Booth Family Center for Special Collections, as mentioned on page one of this guide. Examples include ambrotype, daguerreotype and wide angle gelatin silver prints (University Archives); and kromogram (Frederick E. Ives Collection, Manuscripts).
