Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC)The Chief Counsel of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) supervises approximately 130 attorneys in the Washington headquarters and in the four District offices. The OCC is in the forefront of contemporary issues in the financial services industry, developing banking regulations and legislation to modernize banking law, and streamlining regulatory processes. The OCC is a bureau of the Department of the Treasury engaged in the supervision of the national banking system.
