Find Biochemistry Books
- HoyaSearch - GU Books OnlyCheck for print books and ebooks on your topic at Georgetown. Do a keyword search in Any Field or change the field to Title or Subject fields specifically.
To see more on your topic click on a title that looks interesting and then use the Library of Congress Subject Headings links in the book's description to find more like it. - HoyaSearch - All Formats & Beyond GUThis Searches everything - Books, Articles, Videos, etc. You can limit to books after performing the search. Use to search across Georgetown library holdings, the Washington Research Library Consortium, and article sources. This is useful for finding books we do not have.
To request a book that is not available at Georgetown
Use Hoya Search + Loan - for books not owned by Georgetown and for Georgetown books that are not currently available:
Step 1: In Hoya Search - Search for the book title you want to borrow
Step 2: If it comes up in your results, but it is not available at Georgetown, sign in for options
If there is a consortial borrowing option - choose this - these come in 2-3 days
If it is not available in the Consortium, choose the Interlibrary Loan Option - this can take 7-10 days
Can't Find It Options - if you cannot find it in Hoya search, you can directly request anything and we will try to get it
Click on the Can't Find It link and follow the instructions there.
Purchase Option - you can request that the Library purchase a book. The relevant subject librarian will evaluate the request and determine if we can purchase the title.
