This guide is designed to introduce you to the resources that will enable you to study the city that surrounds campus: the District of Columbia. Use this guide to explore social statistics, public health, local politics, threats to the environment, the neighborhoods, its literature, and other aspects of its culture. It highlights databases available at Lauinger and other digital resources so that you can begin your research.
These resources are good starting points:

HoyaSearch data comes from Georgetown and WRLC Consortium holdings, many of the Georgetown databases, and a variety of other resources. You can find books, journal and newspaper articles, encyclopedias, images and media, and primary sources in HoyaSearch.
