SCS Online Learning Resources & Services

Research Guides

Looking for the best resources on a specific topic? Be sure to consult our Research Guides. These guides are created and updated by Georgetown librarians and will help you locate key resources in your specific subject area.

We create guides for each academic program at SCS, so please review our Research Guide list and bookmark the guide for your program.

Citation Assistance & RefWorks

The SCS Library has created helpful guides for help with citing sources in APA, Chicago, and MLA styles. In addition to these guides, the citation tool RefWorks is a helpful resource for saving, organizing, and creating citations.

Locate Books, Articles, and Media

The tutorials below outline how to find materials within the Georgetown Library using HoyaSearch. In addition to these videos, it would also be helpful to locate and bookmark the research guide associated with your program. These guides will point to discipline specific databases, books, and other publications.

Research Consultations

Looking for direct assistance from SCS Librarians? Booking a research consultation can help you with a variety of research skills, such as focusing your research topic or finding and analyzing academic resources. Please use our scheduler to book a Zoom appointment. These interactive sessions are typically 25-45 minutes long.
