Finding Dictionaries

1. Click on Advanced Search in HoyaSearch

2. For bilingual dictionaries, the easiest way to search is to set the "subject" to the language name -- English. For example "Polish language -- English" will bring up Polish/English dictionaries. Armenian Language -- English will bring up Armenian language dictionaries.

3. To search for both english language and original language dictionaries, you will want to select "GU Only" under "Search for" and use the words "dictionar* OR grammar" AND the language you are interested in to search. "Dictionar*" should get you books that use the words dictionary and dictionaries. The word "grammar" is often used for older materials or as a subject heading in some languages.

3. For languages with smaller numbers of speakers, you may want to search "GU + Consortium + Articles" and change the Content Type to "Books."
