Data Observation Network for Earth (DataONE) aims to provide “open, persistent, robust, and secure access to well-described and easily discovered Earth observational data.” Supported by the National Science Foundation.
The Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative Information and Data Cooperative (GRIIDC) helps researchers who have received funding from the Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative (GoMRI) manage their data, making the data accessible to other researchers and the public. GoMRI investigates the impacts of the oil, dispersed oil, and dispersant on the ecosystems of the Gulf of Mexico and affected coastal States.
