Data.gov increases the ability of the public to easily find, download, and use datasets that are generated and held by the Federal Government. Data.gov provides descriptions of the Federal datasets (metadata), information about how to access the datasets, and tools that leverage government datasets. The data catalogs will continue to grow as datasets are added. Federal, Executive Branch data are included in the first version of Data.gov.

LandScan Global 2013
At approximately 1 km resolution (30" X 30"), LandScan is the finest resolution global population distribution data available and represents an ambient population (average over 24 hours). The LandScan algorithm uses spatial data and imagery analysis technologies and a multi-variable dasymetric modeling approach to disaggregate census counts within an administrative boundary.
ICRG Table 3B
The International Country Risk Guide Table 3B provides country-by-country ratings of political risk from 1984 through June 2016, using factors such as government stability, socioeconomic conditions, investment profile, possibility of internal or external conflicts, and more. This static dataset complements our existing ICRG holdings (Tables 2B and 3Ba).
