Computer Science

A guide to research resources for computer science

The Library at Georgetown subscribes to myriad databases of aggregated academic journals containing both peer reviewed and non-peer reviewed articles on all subjects. The databases are organized by subject. Below is a list of databases to which students have access through the Library's website, that relate to Computer Science. This list is not exhaustive, but should provide enough information to get most research projects started. If you are having trouble accessing information or finding what you need, please contact your computer science liaison librarian, Jill Hollingsworth.

Interlibrary Loan

Students and faculty can request books and other resource materials through Interlibrary Loan (known as ILLiad). In addition to the many Georgetown Library branches, Georgetown belongs to a Washington-area consortium.

There are 3 loan options:

If the item is available at Georgetown, select "Georgetown Request". The average delivery time is 1 day.

If the item is not available at Georgetown, but is available at a consortium library, select "Consortium Request". The average delivery time is 2-3 days.

If the item is not available at Georgetown or consortium libraries, place a request through ILLiad. ILL staff will attempt to find an available copy from another library. The average time for delivery is 10 days.
