  • 1896, July 23: Marries Dr. Franz A.R. Jung
  • 1914: Helps establish an American Red Cross Hospital in Munich, Germany
  • 1919: First reference to the Franz A. R. Jung--Sofie A. Nordhoff-Jung Memorial Building, an addition to the Georgetown University Hospital which now forms part of the Nevils Building. The original name is still visible on the building facade
  • 1922: Funds an annual prize for essays on cancer
  • 1923: Appointed as Instructor in Gynecology at GU School of Medicine
  • 1935: Appointed as Associate Professor of Gynecology
  • 1936: Appointed Professor of Gynecology, Emeritus 
  • 1943, June 6: Dies. Wills $250,000 estate to GU
