StoryMaps

Using in the Classroom

StoryMaps is a useful and versatile tool to use in the classroom. It can help students foster important skills like writing for a public audience, engaging storytelling, and spatial thinking. The Library is here to help support StoryMaps in your classroom through asynchronous video tutorials, written guidance, class visits, and one-on-one support. Email digitalscholarship@georgetown.edu to get started.

Group Work

Students can work on a StoryMap individually, in small groups, or as a whole class. If you'd like to assign a project where students work on one StoryMap as a group or as a whole class, a Group within ArcGIS Online needs to be created by an admin. Reach out to digitalscholarship@georgetown.edu to have a group created for your class.
