StoryMaps

Sharing your StoryMap

You have 3 options for sharing your StoryMap:

  1. Private -- only you will be able to see the StoryMap

  2. My organization -- anyone with a GU netID and password can see the map if you give them a link

  3. Public-- anyone with a link can see the map

Groups

Need to have multiple people working on one map? You’ll need to create a group, which only an admin can do. After everyone who needs to be in the group has signed into StoryMaps at least once, email digitalscholarship@georgetown.edu with the netIDs of everyone who needs to be in the group and an ArcGIS admin will create a group for you and reach out with further details on how the group works

Important Notes for Groups

You must log in to StoryMaps at least once to activate your account. Once you are added to a group you will receive an update through the notification bell on the top right side of your StoryMaps account. One group member will need to create the initial StoryMap. From the group details page for your class click, "Add items to the group" button on the right side of the page and find your newly created StoryMap. Other group members will now have access to the group’s StoryMap. Note: All students given access to the StoryMap group for the class will have access to each other's work. Please be respectful and only work on your own group's StoryMaps.
