ENGL 1095: Ways of Reading (Kaplan)

The final project will comprise three parts:
1) 4 passages from your chosen literary work that address the issue you have chosen, that inspire you and from which you draw in the adaptation;
2) a 2000-word rationale for your adaptation that introduces the topic you chose, sets out the historical context you have researched, explains how Shakespeare’s original work addresses this topic in its own historical context by quoting and interpreting the significance of passages selected, and explains how the adaptation addresses this topic in our own historical context;
3) your adaptation (this will vary in length, genre and possibly medium).
