360° Photography

What is 360° Photography?

A 360° image is basically a spherical panorama image also referred to as VR (Virtual Reality) photograph. This technique can capture a location from multiple angles by utilizing a camera, like the Rico Theta to create an equirectangular image. Once the image is captured applications like Flickr, Facebook, or Google VR allow for users to interact and explore the image in many ways: they can rotate the scene in all directions (to the sides and upwards-downwards).
