Submission Guidelines

Open access information for journal authors

Due to the high level of interest and limited number of articles available for the subsidy each year,  the following restrictions are in place

  • Authors with eligible grant funds are requested to use those funds for APCs in order to provide the subsidy to authors without funding.
  • Authors must indicate their Georgetown affiliation at the time of submission.  (Note: There may be more than one entry for Georgetown, please select Georgetown University Medical Center)
  • Once the limit has been reached for the calendar year (articles are approved first come, first served basis after editorial acceptance/in production),  the subsidy will cease for the remainder of the calendar year.

  • Authors that submit articles  after the subsidy has ceased for the year will not receive the benefit. Funding can not be applied retroactively to a previous year.

  • Authors that participate are asked to include the acknowledgement statement: funding support is in part from Georgetown University Library.
Is there a code needed to receive the APC support? No, but the Georgetown affiliated author must be the corresponding author during submission and declare their affiliation during submission in order to receive support.
