Archival Resources

The archival materials listed here are available for use in the Booth Family Center for Special Collections on the 5th floor of Lauinger Library; use the Aeon request system to request materials and to schedule a research appointment to examine them. 

  • Old Archives: Debate Societies: Philonomosian, GTA 000680. 3 boxes, 1.5 linear feet. 1841-1932.

Includes proceedings, correspondence, constitutions and by-laws, treasurer’s records, librarian’s records, printed debate invitations, etc.

 

  • Miscellaneous Archives Collection GTA 000156

Box 1 includes Triennial Report of the Extra-Curriculum Activities of Georgetown University, September 1922. Pages 37-39 reference the Philonomosian Society

 

  • Items from Carroll Parlor GTA 150908

Box 1 includes a Philonomosian Medal awarded to Louis F.C. Pise (entered 1844), undated
