How do I get an ORCID iD?

Registering for an ORCID iD is quick and easy:

  1. Go to ORCID's Register for an ORCID iD page
  2. Complete the online form (name, email address, password, and your privacy setting)
  3. Accept ORCID's privacy policy and conditions of use
  4. Check your email for a verification message with your ORCID iD and a link to your ORCID record
  5. Click on the "Verify your email address" button to complete
