  • News isn’t normally catalogued, so use a lot of search terms, or very specific search terms
  • Narrow results by using the date filter 
  • National newspaper archives can be very useful (i.e. the Library of Congress's Chronicling America: Historic American Newspapers
  • It is often a matter of luck if newspaper coverage has been digitized
