Rev. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, S.J. Collections

Woodstock Theological Library

The Woodstock Theological Library was a religious studies, theological studies, biblical studies, and special collections library located on the lower level of Georgetown University's Lauinger Library. Woodstock's books have now been integrated with other Lauinger holdings and all titles previously housed there remain available to the Georgetown University community and visiting scholars. They are cataloged in Hoya Search, the main search function at Lauinger Library. In addition to books, several manuscript collections that were in Woodstock related to Teilhard are now part of the Booth Family Center for Special Collections.

Barbour Collection

Previously located in the Woodstock Theological Library on the lower level of Lauinger Library, the Barbour Collection includes printed works by and about Teilhard, many inscribed by Teilhard. These works are listed in the main library catalog, Hoya Search.

This collection also contains about 30 letters by Teilhard, approximately 200 reproductions of Teilhard letters, photographs, a film, and typescripts of George Barbour's lectures on Teilhard. These materials are now part of the Booth Family Center for Special Collections.
