Utilizing the Elgato HD60 X in the Video Gaming and VR Studio

This guide will teach you how to use the Elgato HD60 X content streaming device in the Video Gaming and VR Studio

Overview

Step 1: Log into the Mac computer with your NetID and password

Step 2: Make sure the USB cord for the Elgato HD60 X is connected to the Mac computer.

Step 3: After you've logged in open the OBS software

Step 4: Check to see if the PS4's HDMI cord is connected to the HD60 X device. (It should be connected to HDMI In). The TV should also be connected to the HD60 X (HDMI Out).

Step 5: Turn on the TV and PS4, and then insert game.

Step 1: In the Control panel select Start Recording, when you're finished capturing your content select Stop Recording

Step 2: Use Finder to locate the recorded video in your Movies folder. This can be accomplished by doing a keyword search for the word "Movies".
