Steps for Creating a StoryMap

  1. Go to https://georgetownuniv.maps.arcgis.com

  2. Click the "Georgetown University" button

  3. Log in using your NetID and password

  4. Click the icon on the upper right side that looks a rectangle made of six dots 

  5. Select StoryMaps from the list of apps (Hint: the icons in this menu can be rearranged, you can hold and drag StoryMaps to move it to the top so it's easier to find next time)

  6. Create a new Story

  7. Give it a Title 

  8. Add content blocks to add text, images, video, audio, and maps to your story 

  9. Change the look and feel of the StoryMap using the functions in the Design tab 

  10. Publish the StoryMap and share the link with others

Working in a Group?

If you decide you'd like to work on a StoryMap in a group, email digitalscholarship@georgetown.edu with the request. From there we can create a group for you within the system, and send more information about how to create and edit shared StoryMaps.
