LACCOM

This guide is to support students working on the the Latin America and the Caribbean COVID-19 map (LACCOM)

Quick Tips

  • Look at coverage for your country (newspaper titles and years included) in each database
  • News isn’t normally catalogued, so use a lot of search terms, or very specific search terms
  • Narrow results by using the date filter
  • National newspaper archives can be very useful (i.e. Hemeroteca Digital Nacional de México
  • It is often a matter of luck if newspaper coverage has been digitized
