Reserves on Blackboard

When Access Services staff create a Course Reserves for individual classes a link to that class' Blackboard page is simultaneously created. You can access your reserves without leaving Blackboard. Find our link, Georgetown Reserves and Resources, under Course Tools on your class' Blackboard page.

Course Reserve Use Policies

The Georgetown University Library provides reserve services to ensure access to core course readings that, due to high demand, would not otherwise be available to all students in a class.

Policy:

Students may borrow up to three reserve items at one time. Reserve items are available on a first come, first serve basis. Reserve items cannot be held, recalled, or renewed. Overdue Fines for Reserve Materials : 2 hour, 4 hour and 24 hour reserve books $1.00 for the first hour overdue, $0.50 for each additional hour 3 day reserve books $2.00 for the first day overdue, $1.00 for each additional day A replacement fee of $200.00 will be assessed after a reserve item is 4 days overdue. This amount will be adjusted to $40.00 if the item is returned after 4 days. To avoid fines and to be considerate of other students, please return reserve readings on time.
