A guide for resources in art, art history, and museum studies

Book Searching

Why Books?

  • In-depth coverage and broader context than journal articles
  • Use the table of contents and the index (in the back of the book) to locate your topic
  • Search GEORGE, the library catalog, to find books by keyword, subject, title, or author
    • Search by KEYWORD in GEORGE, then click on "Find Similar Items" in entries for relevant books.  You'll see a list of subject headings; click on the links to find more on your topic
