CEI Chinese Law and Regulation: Hosted by the State Information Center, a Chinese central government agency. It includes two major databases: the National Laws and Regulations Data Bank which covers Chinese laws and regulations covering from Oct. 1, 1949 to the end of 1997; and the New Laws and Regulations Online Searching. Also provides other useful information on Chinese law.
China Economy: Covers Chinese economic news, business intelligence, statistics and government policies.
China Economic Information Network 中國經濟信息網: Basically a subscription service, but the economic news, is free.
China Elections & Governance 中国选举与治理: provides resources on governance and election affairs and gives scholars worldwide the opportunity to study Chinese politics and offer reform measures.
China Internet Information Center 中国网: "China's official gateway to news and information," available in Chinese, English, and other languages.
China Leadership Monitor: sponsored by the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, this site provides information on current trends in China's leadership politics and in its foreign and domestic policies, using methods of interpreting information in China's state-controlled media.
China Military and Armed Forces: a portal on Chinese military power
Chinese Military Power: Established by the Project on Defense Alternatives, the Commonwealth Institute, Cambridge, MA. It provides full-text online analysis and resources about Chinese military policy & capabilities. Also includes a bibliography of key readings and links to online databases and to leading area specialists and research sites.

China Radio International (Beijing) 中國廣播網: Website of Central Broadcasting, Beijing. In Chinese, English, and other languages. Includes text and recorded broadcasts.

Chinese Minority Ethnic Groups 中華民國少數民族簡介
Congressional-Executive Commission on China: created by Congress in Oct. 2000 to monitor China's human rights and the development of the rul of law in China.
Country Profiles: A brief, summarized information on China's historical, geography, society, economy, transportation and telecommunications, government and politics, and national security, updated by Federal Research Division, Library of Congress.
